Fun Deck Friday - Colourless Rush!

Another month has gone past, meaning it's time for another Fun Deck Friday! With the new Evolutions set coming out in a week, I thought it would be a good opportunity to add in some of these new cards into a deck. Remember, while this may not be the best deck in the format, it should be a lot of fun and reasonably cheap to build. What's the deck? This month, I'll be making a colourless deck, using a bunch of quick attackers. Unlike most Fun Deck Friday decks, this one will have a few EXs and very few evolutions....

Fun Deck Friday - Typhlosion

Another month has passed, but you know what that means, we're one month closer to Christmas! Oh and it's time for another Fun Deck Friday! This month we're looking at a deck that one of my good friends plays, which he started off making just to have some fun at hobby league, but it does have real potential. I'm talking about Typhlosion! So shout out to Kezza for the idea. Remember that this is a fun deck and while it won't win every match, it's a lot of fun and won't break the bank How does it work? Basically you want...

Fun Deck Friday - Raticate / Ariados

Fun Deck Friday - Raticate / Ariados

Time for yet another Fun Deck Friday! This is where I explain a deck that has a strategy that's a little different to the classic strategy of just attacking for massive amounts of damage. While this deck may not be the most competitive deck, its a lot of fun and has a strategy that's a little different to what you may normally play. The deck this week is Raticate / Ariados. How does the deck work? Basically, you want to use Ariados to poison both Pokemon and then use Raticate BREAK to attack. By doing this, you'll be able to...

Fun Deck Friday - Volcanion / Infernape

Another month has passed already! Which means it's time for another Fun Deck Friday! If you're new to this, it's where I take a deck that's a little different to the standard "power up big EXs and attack for massive damage" deck and explain why this deck works and why it's a little more fun than the standard strategy in meta decks. With Steam Siege being less than a week away from release, I thought it would be a good idea to do a Fun Deck Friday based around Steam Siege cards. Remember that rotation isn't until September, so I will...

Fun Deck Friday - Malamar Hand Destruction

Another month has passed, so time for another Fun Deck Friday! This week I'll be looking at a deck that aims to stop your opponent from doing anything so you can just take them out easily later in the game! Remember that fun deck Friday is all about trying out new strategies that you may not ordinarily think of. While this deck may not win the next major tournament, it's cheap to build, easy to play and fun to experiment with. The deck is based around cards that destroy your opponents hand. You'll want to set up Malamar as fast as...

Garchomp / Hawlucha Deck Profile

At the Regional Championships around a month ago, I stunned everyone by not playing Steel (the deck I've been playing for around a year). I got quite a few questions of why I chose to change, and it was basically because I wanted to try something new. I was doing relatively well in the tournament until I came up against a couple of grass decks and a steel deck that was faster than me. So while I ended up dropping from the tournament, I still think the deck has a lot of merit and I would definitely play it again...

Fun Deck Friday - Gengar / Noivern

Fun Deck Friday - Gengar / Noivern

Time for another fun deck friday! I know we have looked at Noivern before (in this article), but I believe this deck can be made even more fun now with Gengar from Breakthrough. The point of this deck is to get one or two Noivern set up and then use Gengar to sweep your opponent. How it works The point of this deck is to get off a few of Noivern's Boom Burst and then use Gengar's Creep Show to knock out everything. If your opponent is playing a deck where all the Pokemon have low HP, then you can...

Fun Deck Friday - Delphox

Time for another Fun Deck Friday! With Fates Collide coming out in a little under a week, I thought I'd take a look at a fun deck that could come out of this set. I've had a look through all the cards in the set and I think an interesting card could be Delphox. Remember, this deck is just for fun, it's not going to be the most competitive, but it should be relatively cheap and heaps of fun. So the idea behind this deck is to punish your opponent for having lots of energy. There are a couple of...

Greninja Deck Profile - By Louis Chi

Hi guys, I’ve just come back from playing in the Canberra/Sydney double regionals in Australia this past weekend. Today I will be sharing with you the deck that I played and discuss the cards choices, along with a few matchups I played. For these two events, I ended up playing Greninja. The reason I chose Greninja is because I felt like it was the deck with the high ceiling, and had the most options in terms of game plan which allows you to adapt to any situation. Usually decks with the most upside and options are considered the best deck....

Vespiquen Deck Profile

Today I will be taking a look at the Vespiquen deck from Ancient Origins. I'll take a look at it's strengths, as well as where it may struggle a bit. Vespiquen is a deck that in a way is similar to Night March because it relies on having Pokemon in your discard pile. Vespiquen relies much more heavily on setting up your field and hitting for weakness and also has more HP than the Night Marchers. However, since Vespiquen is a stage 1 (as are most of the support Pokemon), it does take a little longer to get going. How...
